Hi, I’m Emma. Welcome to Emma and Rose where I share fitness, food and healthy lifestyle ideas. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and my blog. In this day and age we all lead such busy lives, but I try to make it a priority to squeeze in fitness, whether it be through exercise, healthy eating, or other ways to lead a healthy lifestyle. With Emma and Rose I hope to inspire other women to do the same.
Launched in 2017, Emma and Rose is a resource for women who want to live healthier, be stronger, and feel more confident in their own skin.
I’m a proud mother of two wonderful children and a loving, affectionate husband. My husband and I both enjoy exercise – bootcamp, CrossFit, weight-lifting, etc. We try to keep our kids active through sports, exercise, and family outings that involve moving around (like hiking!).
About My Journey
I started getting “into” exercise when my kids were young, about 3 and 5 years old. My husband was traveling a lot for work and I needed to get out of the house to keep my sanity. A local gym called to invite me to join a new bootcamp they were offering so I said yes. It was only an hour, my kids were old enough to go to the gym’s childcare, and I would have the opportunity to see other adults.
Let me tell you, it was the best thing I had done in a long time. I LOVED IT! I felt good again – physically and mentally. I was able to physically do things I couldn’t do well in the past (like mud runs!). And I felt good about myself again. Since having kids, I put myself and my well being to the wayside. But after joining that bootcamp, I felt more confident, I made new friends, and I enjoyed spending time with my kids more than before because I had the energy to do so.
